December 2024! Light at the end of the tunnel (for the MQ!), New Art, bug fixes and more!
New art assets have been added to Itch and Steam! These were always placeholders and I still may do some tweaking but I like how they came out. I'm nearly finished with the Main Quest, just one dungeon left to go/final boss and story wrap up and the game will be completable from start to finish. After that, testing, cleanup and possibly even more monumental task of expanding out the optional content in the game, which may be just as much work as the main quest but I've got a good workflow going and I could simply say "Done!" whenever I want. I have some time off this month so I'm going to make a big push to finish up the MQ, I'm very close! Here's what I've done the last ~30 days or so:
- Updated Steam and Itch Art! These were always placeholder assets. Feedback would be appreciated!
- Fixed various scripts incorrectly being assigned after migrating the frost cave dungeon
- Imported correct sound effects that were not migrated related to the frost cave dungeon
- Recreated treasures and placed them in appropriate containers that were not imported correctly, related to the frost cave dungeon
- Recreated global properties related to frost cave dungeon (ties in with script fixes)
- Fixed cutscene related to the Frost Cave Boss
- Fixed a number of behaviors that were incorrectly set on creatures, related to the frost dungeon
- Added some additional scenery to the boss room of the frost cave dungeon
- changed gray sea serpent to be billboard
- fixed blue sea serpent tail attachment
- reduced size of sea cave crab
- fix a navigation line in ivywood that was preventing movement
- fix a navigation line in frost cave that was preventing movement
- fix animation on crystal guardian in tower
- Fixed attack animation on zombie
- Reduced number of enemy spawns in Sea Cave
- Reduced number of enemy spawns in Mandora Plains
- Fixed death animation and various related scripts involved in the mandora orc boss fight
- Fixed attach points of some traps in Bastion of the Prism
- Fixed some dialogue with errors
- Updated "hit" animations (when an enemy gets hit) to use the predefined animation name rather than a custom hit animation global script since hit animations are built in now
- Boss and new enemy for volcano dungeon created
- Volcano Dungeon boss map created
- Volcano dungeon boss scripting and mechanics completed
